| This is the only Who CD (along with ?Canadian pressings of MBB&B) to have Magic Bus in full stereo. All the other hits CD`s (30 years, Who`s Better etc) have a dull and compressed mono mix. Worth buying for this alone to hear Townshends 2 acoustic parts and Moons drums coming in at the end. |

| Great Record... Awful Sound!!! |
| I always loved this album as a kid, but I was totally bummed out when I heard this CD. It has to be one of the worst CD mastering jobs I have EVER heard!!! It`s almost unlistenable! What a shame. Despite that... I still give it 3 stars for all the tunes off of it that are unavailable elsewhere. Maybe someday they`ll do this one right. I hope so. It`s an interesting piece of "Who History" that deserves much better IMHO. |

| Maybe flawed, but still has that good old Who sound. |
| I`m not a Who expert as I see many other reviewers are, so I was initially oblivious to flaws on this album that others noticed. I do know that this is the version (from the single) of "Magic Bus" that I always loved from AM radio, and I still consider it vastly superior to the other short version with more talking in the break that is sometimes found on other Who greatest hits albums, and it`s vastly superior to all live versions I`ve heard, which always omit the great percussion instruments (maracas & claves) and substitute electric guitar for acoustic guitar. There are quite a few great-sounding songs in typical old Who style here, especially "Magic Bus," "Call Me Lightning," "Run Run Run," and "Doctor Doctor," so overall I was pleased. "Disguises" is another decent song that would be much better if it didn`t have those loud, annoying, scraping sound effects. |
